We are able to advise on all aspects of construction and civil engineering in both the public and private sector, including the relationship between employers, designers, certifiers, contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers. Our objective is to enable our clients to understand and reduce the contractual risks involved in construction projects and resolve contractual issues and disputes in a manner consistent with their commercial requirements. We strive to ensure that contracts include dispute resolution clauses that are appropriate in the context of the particular transaction, but should a major dispute on the contract arise, we are experienced and proactive both in arbitration and in court. 

HP | FKM regularly represents various construction companies and land developers including but not limited to Emaar Karachi Limited, Sonax Housing (Private) Limited, Pakland Housing (Private) Limited, MS Homes and Omema Construction etc. before superior courts. 

HP | FKM challenged the notification of the Sindh Environmental Quality Standards by the Sindh Government, on behalf of the SITE Association of Industries and its various members before the Sindh High Court. The Honourable Court was pleased to grant interim relief in favour of the members of the Association. 

HP | FKM represented the joint venture of ShangDong Hi Speed, Sinohydro Corporation Limited and Frontier Works Organization and obtained a favourable decision from NHA, GRC in respect of procurement for the Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway (M6) Project ultimately having the procurement process cancelled through representation in writ jurisdiction before the Islamabad High Court.

HP | FKM also advised and provided legal representation to Sinohydro (Private) Limited during the procurement process for the project for expansion of terminal of Allama Iqbal Internation Airport, Lahore.

HP | FKM has advised Power China Chengdu (Private) Limited in relation to the relation to the Rawalpindi-Kharian Motorway (RKM) PPP Project.

HP | FKM regularly advises the Contractors Association of Pakistan (CAP), providing general advisory and consultancy services including leading negotiations with Asian Development Bank, World Bank as well as Pakistan Engineering Council with regard to the Standard Bidding Documents for construction works. 

HP | FKM also regularly advises and represents Sardar Mohammad Ashraf D. Baloch (Private) Limited in arbitration matters and has recently assisted in recovery of Pakistani Rupees Three Billion in the year 2024.
