About Pirzada

Mr. Pirzada read law at the University of Buckingham, where he obtained his LL.B as well as an LL.M in International and Commercial Law. Thereafter he was admitted to the Inns of Court School of Law where he completed the Bar Vocational Course and was subsequently called to the Bar by the Honorable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. Mr. Pirzada is uniquely, the only fourth generation Barrister from Pakistan to be called to the Bar from Lincoln’s Inn; his great grandfather, grandfather and father having been called in 1897, 1930 and 1957 respectively.

Mr. Pirzada joined the Chambers in 2001 and regularly practices before the Supreme Court and High Courts of Pakistan. His areas of practice include arbitration, banking and finance, civil litigation, constitutional and administrative law, contract law, construction, corporate and commercial law, competition law, customs and excise, drugs (pharmaceuticals) laws, energy & power, environmental law, intellectual property, international trade, mergers and acquisitions, oil and gas, privatization, real estate / property and taxation. He is considered to be amongst the leading lawyers in Pakistan in respect of the sugar and pharmaceutical industries.

Mr. Pirzada has also represented a number of Government institutions, such as the Federal Board of Revenue, Government of Sindh, Competition Commission, Privatization Commission of Pakistan and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan.

Mr. Pirzada frequently appears before arbitration and alternate dispute resolution tribunals, both domestically and internationally. Mr. Pirzada also provides legal consultancy and advisory services in his areas of practice to the Chambers’ vast and diverse Pakistani and international clientele.
